ABERDEEN, S.D. ¨C A husband and wife musical duo will perform an upcoming concert at Northern State University.

Kenneth Boulton and JoAnne Barry will present a recital of music for piano four-hands at 
7:30 p.m. Monday, March 27, in the Krikac Auditorium.

Featured on the program will be music by Ethelbert Nevin, Jacques Ibert, Franz Schubert and Johannes Brahms.

Chad Hatzenbuhler has accepted the role of Director of Communications and Marketing and will join the NSU team April 3.

Hatzenbuhler brings to Northern a vast background in communications and marketing in the financial sector, working in both private and public banking. For the past year, he has worked as a Marketing Specialist at Aberdeen¡¯s Plains Commerce Bank. Prior to that, he spent over a decade¡­

ABERDEEN, S.D. ¨C Northern State University¡¯s Dr. Peter Ramey has published a book, ¡°The Word-Hoard Beowulf: A Translation with Commentary.¡±

ABERDEEN, S.D. ¨C Thursday, March 30, 2023, will be the 40th year of the Northern South Dakota Science and Mathematics Fair, sponsored by Northern State University, 3M of Aberdeen and the Aberdeen Area Community Foundation.  

The day starts out with approximately 50-60 judges from Aberdeen and surrounding areas judging projects and interviewing students.

Projects will be judged in the morning and will be open for public viewing from 1-7 p.m. only in the Barnett Center gym. The science fair awards ceremony, open to the public and free of charge, will begin¡­

ABERDEEN, S.D. ¨C The Aberdeen University-Civic Symphony¡¯s re-scheduled concert on Tuesday, March 21 featuring The Texas Tenors has been canceled.

The Texas Tenors notified organizers that they would not be traveling to the event, citing weather concerns; thus, the decision was made to cancel the entire concert.  The concert will not be rescheduled.
